GP Changes

We have some staff changes but our model of care is not changing. Your needs and wellbeing are important to us and we will continue to offer our same high level of care to you and your whanau.

Welcome Dr Merryn Wilson-van Duin

Merryn has experience with Women's Health and will be helping to cover Dr Nina Baker's patients while she is on maternity leave.  She will be starting with us in mid January.

Dr Murray Robson has retired

It is with mixed feelings that I announce my retirement from Straven Medical after 35 years. It has been a great pleasure and honour to have helped look after so many wonderful patients and families over this time. Thank you all very much for your support. I will continue my Rest Home work in the meantime. I look forward to being able to spend more time with old and develop new interests, as well as my grandchildren.

I am delighted to welcome Dr Jian Tham to the Practice. Jian will work full-time and has made a long term commitment to Straven Medical. He enjoys all aspects of general practice. He speaks fluent English, Cantonese and Mandarin. Like myself he particularly enjoys looking after families and older people. He is a wonderful GP and person. I have full confidence in him as my successor. Please read about Jian under "our team"
Best wishes to you all - Murray
